Almost completed the numbers. Introducing a couple more kanji too - representing family members
Seven: "七" (Nana: なな)
This is an upside down Seven, drawn with a line through the middle, and a flick at the end. With this, we can write July as 七月
Eight: "八" (Hachi: はち)
This almost looks like katakana ha - ハ. Ha - short for Hachi! It also looks similar to person though - 人, so don't get them confused. We now will know that 八月 is August
Nine: "九" (Kyuu: きゅう)
A Kanji that I couldn't think of a mnemonic for. It is similar to katakana ka - カ but with a flick outside rather than inside. You know by now that I'll point out 九月 is September
Mother: "母"
I think of this as symbolising a mother clutching two babies to her. It's a bit difficult to really explain how I see it, but I do, and maybe you'll be able to see it too.
Father: "父"
This Kanji makes me think of crossed swords - being very macho and masculine, and it also looks like a stern, slightly sad, but wise face looking over someone protectively. So to me it conjours up thoughts of an older man who is concerned about me - which would be my father!
